Aliki_perroti2In 2017, the award was bestowed to the Greek philanthropist Mrs Aliki Perrotis, for her domestic and international contribution in the fields of Health, Social Medicine and Education.

Ms. Aliki Perrotis, in memory of his parents, Theodore and Maroula Konstantopoulou donated a huge sum for the construction of the General Hospital of N. Ionia “Agia Olga“ – due to whom the hospital is now named “Konstantopoulio” General Hospital N. Ionia. The donation included the extension of the hospital with new wards, Surgical and Diagnostic departments, Intensive Care units and latest medical technology.

Her main goal is to realize the wish of her father, to allocate part of the significant family wealth for the relief of her fellow men. Her aim: To help sufferers live a better life.

Her humanitarian action continues and abroad, where she established the “Aliki Perrotis“ seat at the Centre of Innovative Medicine at John Hopkins, Baltimore, which aims to highlighting innovative approaches to patient care and medical research. The initiative places the patient at the center of medical education, research and care, ensuring that medical care is personalized, which enjoys high acceptance from both the medical and academic community and by patients themselves.

I don’t do miracles, so I don’t expect return, nor bursts of gratitude.
A simple thank you is sufficient. Each and every act of mine is just a duty of life.
